If you can't win fairly.... win by cheating... just win
That seems to be the motto for a lot of these "get out the vote" organization.
What is sad, is Obama is winning.... all these "cheating voters".... are just giving Dems a worse rep than they already have.
Ohio - if Obama wins Ohio, who will believe it is a legit victory now. Check out the "vote from home" group who all list 2885 Brownlee in Columbus, as their address. The thing is... they don't live here... never have. They didn't go to school here... or work here... some volunteered to help "get the vote" out for a few weeks. That is it. They are now voting from around the world... YES WORLD, as Ohio residents. Now the pic of 2885 Brownlee does not look big enough to hold all the registered voters claiming to live there.... hmmmm... maybe that should have given Ohio a clue.
You know, I think it is time these students open their experiences a bit. I know they have traveled... they have done "community service".... I think it is time they add "Community time in Ohio prison" to their resumes. It will enlighten them.... Enrich their life's experience.
Seriously, it is time to prosecute voter fraud. It is time Ohio, Florida and other states stand up and say, "I dare you" the prosecute each and every one. Move some of the parents in jail for their kids truancy out of the prisons to make room for the voter fraud perps.
If Obama wins, I hope it is big enough so Ohio, Florida and the other states in question do not matter....
I hated the Florida Bush/Gore mess. I don't want to live thru that again. Talk about learning nothing in 8 years....unless you count learning how to perfect voter fraud, advertise it on the internet, and steal a state's election, learning.....
Wondering why our tax dollars pay for a judicial system....if they are not going to use it to defend one of our constitutional rights to a honest election. Been there.... done that... sigh.....

Commercials I would like to see #6
Federal Application....
I would like to see Sen Obama applying for a job with the Secret Service or some other high clearance area....
I would like to see you detail why he would not qualify for security clearance....
That those known to have associated with domestic terrorists are not given clearance...
That those who have associated with and endorsed radicals in other countries, are not given clearance...
That those who are unwilling to release their health records are not given clearance....
That those who are not willing to release their education records are not given clearance...
That those who cannot produce a valid birth certificate are not given clearance....
I am sure there are many other reasons.... but considering all we know about Sen. Obama... or how little we know about him might be more accurate....
Would he be given security clearance?
Yet this is the man who may run our country for the next four years?

Calling on Congress....
I would love to see McCain state he will give back, to the government, to go towards this bailout, 100% of the campaign contributions he has collected in the past 2 years from the banking industry.
I want to hear him say that he refuses to keep 1 Penny of the money that hard working, struggling Americans are now being forced to shoulder due to our Government being bought by the financial systems/wallstreet.
I want to hear him challenge Obama and the rest of congress to do the same.
I want to hear him promise to name, publicly, on the web, any congressman who does not comply with this request.
I want to hear him promise to prosecute any congressperson who was made aware of this looming problem over the past 15 years.... but refused to address the situation.
I want to hear him promise to put every single pork belly request, from this point forward, on the web with the requestors name. Let us know what our own reps are requesting our tax dollars be spent on.... while we are tightening our belts. I just bought 20 lbs of brown beans to get my family thru the next month.... show me how far you will go to make sure congress is cutting back to the brown bean level. There will be no pork in my beans.... it is about time congress eliminates the pork too.
Let us know exactly how you will hold congress accountable and how YOU, YOU personally, will guarantee we are informed and not broadsided again.
We are afraid. Our retirement just dwindled away. Congress got rich.
Show me Sen. McCain.... show me and my six children... on a commercial... that you will do the above... that you will challenge congress to join you or risk joining the sex offenders on the web. Congress made us victims... it is time for them to pay the price... or be listed on the web beside the other victimizers.
Hard ball you say? Too hard? I want a President who is not afraid to play hard ball.... one who is not afraid to be unpopular. I want one who is willing to be hated to do what is right for this country and every citizen in it. You said you have bucked both sides of congress in the past.... I think it is time for America to see you buck them now.......
And if you lose.... at least you will go out knowing you fought for the American people to the very end.....

Why all the secrets.....
Palin stating.... "Obama does not have a long history in working for you... he expects you to trust him to keep his promises. He wants you to believe he will cut your taxes even though he has yet to cut any middle class taxes while working for the people in Illinois. He wants you to simply trust him. He promises to end the war in Iraq without surrendering... just trust him. He promises he can handle the many crisises, including Iran, Russia, and North Korea.... once again, he has no history to prove he can do this... he asks you to trust him. He promises you more jobs, more public services, better healthcare... but ask the people of Illinois... did he deliver these things to them during his years representing them? Or is he once again asking you to trust him?
And with his history, his past... he is also asking you to trust him. He refuses to release his birth certificate, even though a lawsuit is pending.... to prove he is a US citizen and legally allowed to be the President of the United States. The news will tell you this is not true, but the lawsuit is pending. Why would there be a lawsuit, if Obama had provided his birth certificate proving his birth in Hawaii?
He refuses to release his complete medical history... even after Sen McCain released 1000+ pages of history, including his prior cancer and heart troubles. Why, what could he possibly fear from releasing these documents? What health issue could he possibly have that tops McCains?
But that is not all, he also refuses to release his school records, including his applications and Thesis. Sen Clinton's thesis was on the internet for all of us to read. What did Sen. Obama write on his that scares him so badly, he won't release it for public review?
These are simple requests.... These are little things that would relieve the minds of many Americans who are afraid of all the rumors they have heard about Sen. Obama.
What could possibly be a negative about releasing this information? Not releasing them simply makes a voter wonder if there is a little truth in all the rumors. Releasing this info, would put out the flames in the rumors. Keeping secrets simply feeds the flames.
Trust.... it is hard to trust someone who keeps secrets, especially such easy to dispell secrets...
Do you really want to trust a man who is so filled with secrets... so unwilling to share... Or do you want a candidate who is willing to open up to you... who is willing to share minute details of his life with you..,. and instead of asking you to trust him... can show you a paper trail proving his claims. He has the years in Congress. He has the years in the Military. He released all his records for your review.
For myself, I will trust the candidate who has earned my trust. The one who isn't keeping secrets. The one who is willing to share information on his health and education.
Which one will you trust?
Once again you get the gist.... I hate to believe internet rumors, but the longer Obama goes without releasing this information and the longer the liberal press goes without demanding it, the more I have to fight with my mind to keep those black helicopters at bay....(after all they were not shy about demanding paternity on Palin's baby as well as maternity or at the very least, hinting at secrets. They were not shy about plastering her minor daughter's face all over the internet and covering her pregnancy)

Commercial #2
Parents, why do you watch who your kids are playing with? Do their friends matter? A family at the dinner table, laughing, goofing off, enjoying a meal.... a horn honks.... clean cut teen boy runs off.
His parents look at the window as he drives off with some rough looking kids...
Flash to inside the car... cursing... drinking... smoking.... and the boy reluctantly laughing with the guys... hesitantly sipping the beer.... almost regretting smoking that first cigeratte/joint.
Flash to McCain, with Obama on a screen behind him... and all those faces of all the questionable characters he has had/ is having relationships with floating on and off the screen around his face... McCain stating, "Obama would like us to believe that having friends who have made mistakes and done bad things, does not influence who we are. Those of us who have raised teenagers know that who our kids associate with, goes a long way in determining how our children will turn out. We parents realize that a good friend base, helps children grow safer and healthier. How many parents, who have struggled with their teens, can trace the beginning of their problems back to the friends their child made.
Obama would have us believe our friends don't matter, our pastor's don't matter, those we surround ourselves with, do not matter. Those of us who have raised teenagers, those of us who have watched our friends struggle with teens.... we know better. We know it is critical that people surround themselves with the right people... with good hearts... and caring natures.... people who care about others... not people who are anger filled, violent, and who believe that bombs are the way to make a difference". Then emphasize... what politician... in recent memory... has been affiliated with this many questionable individuals? One questionable friend/associate might be acceptable... but this many.... (keep those pictures flowing).
Alter the above, but you get the gist. I fight hard to keep my kids away from partying children. I try to surround myself with people who help me, who lift me up... not angry people/negative people. It makes a difference. I encourge my kids to do the same.
When my teen daughter, who never cursed, started cursing, I looked for new friends and found the source. Time for a long talk about still being her friend, but not spending as much time with her.
As a worker, I tried to stay away from co-workers who were continuously negative. I found, when I was friends with them, I hated my job. Loved my friends, but hated my job. When I moved on to hanging out with happier friends, I was happier with my job.
To say or believe those we associate with do not influence us... is simply wrong. I would not let my teen hang out with domestic and/or foreign terrorists.... why would I vote for a President who has....

The King of Pork.... (to the tune of the 12 Days of Christmas)
On the first day of congress Obama asked of us, 1,000,000 in pork spending
On the second day of congress Obama asked of us.... not to fund our troops... and 1,000,000 in pork spending
On the third day of Congress Obama asked of us.... abortions for the world.... not to fund our troops.... and 1,000,000 in pork spending

On the sixth day of Congress, Obama asked of us... more tax money.... surrender the war.... money for acorn... abortions for the world... not to fund our troops... and 1,000,000 in pork spendings
On the eight day of Congress, Obama asked of us... meet with terrorist leaders... more tax money... surrender the war... money for acorn... abortions for the wrold... not to fund our troops... and 1,000,000 in pork spendings
The song could go on and on and on of course, since congress is in session more than 12 days a year....
For this to be great, you need a choir of singers, all dressed in formal attire, something congress looking, criss crossing the screen behind McCain as he asks....
"Fellow American's, Sen. Obama has asked American Taxpayers to give him almost 1,000,000 of taxpayer money for every day he has been in the US Senate. If he asked for this much as a Senator for one State, how much will he ask the tax payers to give him as President of these 50 United States.... will it be 1,000,000 per state... 50,000,000 day?
Folks, as a US Senator, I have not once asked you for even a dollar of pork spending... not in my 25+ years in Congress.
Sen. Obama, asks you to trust him that he will not spend more than you, the tax payers can afford.... I ask you to look at my record.... for 25 years, I have not asked you for one penny of Pork money.
Obama asks you to trust... I say trust is earned and the proof of my trustworthiness is my years of zero pork spending. I will be a good steward of your tax dollars.... Obama has shown, in his short time in congress, he will be a record spender. That you can trust."

Oh this is WAY WAY WAY TOO FUNNY.
The funniest yet..... Obama supporters.... wow.... this is sad.... Watch... laugh...cry...
From Princess to Princess of Darkness....

For those of you who wonder if we locked out kids up so we could focus on politics..... nope...kids still here... still homeschooling... still grocery shopping... still getting milk from farm... still living our lives... just getting less sleep as we follow the ever changing political scene...
Anyway here is a quick update with some scary pics....
Some of you know already, but Boo has had dental problems since her first tooth came in. It came in with a big ole cavity and her enamal chipped off as it broke thru the skin.... Her dentist fought long and hard to save those teeth... but this week... yesterday to be exact... he gave up the fight and removed her worst four teeth (front top).
We now call her Batgirl......The first pic is in the dental chair.... what a princess. The next few.... well lets just say we tightened those belt strings a bit more this year and created our own Halloween costumes. Seriously though, her two front adult teeth are right there... popping thru... so she will only be this spooky a few weeks. And they were so big, her dentist felt they would either knock those other two teeth out or shove them aside. Either way was undesirable... so out those came, a year early.
My poor baby.... All our other kids had healthy baby teeth....
And when you are really sad about losing your teeth.... you can always rely on your doggie to give you a hug and hide under the table with you....
a good article on guilt by association....
When guilt by association is fair game
By Jeff Jacoby
Globe Columnist / October 15, 2008
bostoncom751:http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2008/10/15/when_guilt_by_association_is_fair_game/
EARLY in his 1980 campaign for president, Ronald Reagan spoke at the Neshoba County Fair near Philadelphia, Miss., a town infamous for the murder of three civil rights workers in 1964. In the course of remarks dealing mostly with economics and education, he said: "I believe in states' rights. I believe in people doing as much as they can at the community level and the private level."
Reagan should have known better than to use a phrase like "states' rights," however innocuously, in a place like Mississippi. His campaign appearance wasn't a veiled appeal to segregationists - Reagan was no racist - but for more than a quarter-century, that is how his detractors on the left have spun it. Bob Herbert wrote in The New York Times last year that Reagan went to Mississippi "to assure the bigots that he was with them."
It's an ugly calumny - and a good example of guilt by association at its most poisonous.
A more recent example occurred in 2000, when George W. Bush made a campaign stop at Bob Jones University, a school known for anti-Catholicism and a ban on interracial dating. Other than that single brief visit, Bush had no tie to Bob Jones. He hadn't studied there, never supported it financially, didn't share its racial or religious views. Nevertheless, he was sharply criticized for his appearance. The media declared it a "defining moment" of Bush's campaign, and many of his critics (including then-rival John McCain) pronounced him guilty by association of aligning himself with Bob Jones's noxious teachings.
One other illustration: the bludgeoning of Samuel Alito during his Supreme Court confirmation hearings in 2006. Senate Democrats led by Ted Kennedy pummeled Alito over his membership in the long-defunct Concerned Alumni of Princeton, a conservative group in which Alito had never played an active role. A former ROTC cadet, he had joined the organization in support of its call for restoring the military program to Princeton. But because it had also blasted racial and gender preferences in admissions, Kennedy and other Democrats insinuated that Alito must be a bigot.
In none of these cases was there anything like the long relationship that Barack Obama had for so many years with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the incendiary, America-damning pastor he described for years as his mentor, his sounding board, and his friend. In none of them was there anything comparable to Obama's significant involvement with William Ayers, the domestic-terrorist-turned-extremist-professor with whom Obama worked closely at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, channeling more than $100 million into radical education projects.
Nor was anything in the Reagan, Bush, or Alito episodes akin to Obama's highly profitable relationship with Tony Rezko, the crooked Chicago businessman and political fixer who was convicted in June on multiple counts of fraud, corrupt solicitation, and money laundering. In the course of their 17-year relationship, Rezko directed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Obama's political war chests; he also facilitated the Obamas' purchase of a $1.6 million mansion by agreeing to buy the adjoining lot from the same seller.
More and more loudly, Obama's defenders have been insisting that to call attention to these deplorable associations is to engage in ridiculous and unfair "guilt by association."
But it isn't ridiculous to question the values of a candidate whose political career got its start in the Chicago living room of violent traitors like Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, who have never expressed remorse for the brutal crimes they committed in the Weather Underground.
There is nothing unfair about wondering how Obama could have worshipped for 20 years in Wright's church, yet never objected to the fanatic pastor's virulent messages: that AIDS was created by the US government as an instrument of genocide, that America is the "US of KKKA," that the 9/11 slaughter was "America's chickens coming home to roost."
Guilt by association? Not when the associations have such deep roots or raise such troubling questions about Obama's character and judgment. It was only in the heat of a presidential campaign that Obama finally repudiated his alliances with Ayers, Wright, and Rezko. It isn't irresponsible to ask what those associations tell us about a man poised to be the next president of the United States. It would be irresponsible not to.

More Black Helicopter videos....
For those of you who do not get the black helicopter thing... to me, it references something I do not want to believe, but whose possibility nags the back of my mind... a thought I cannot get to leave.... like the government using silent black helicopters in some big conspiracy... and the press hiding anything questionable about Obama. In reality, this hiding thing is what brings on the black helicopters.....
If the liberal press refuses to cover anything questionable about Obama.... the rest of us need to at least offer our friends/family the information. They can take it to heart, or ignore it... but at least they will have been offered the info instead of being asked to vote blindly.
Anyway, enjoy the video's, or not... and listen, watch, for the black helicopters....
The first shows clips from 2004, four years ago... republicans begging for regulation on Fannie and Freddie and Dem after Dem shooting it down... saying there is no problem. Very interesting, yet not shown on the nightly news.... or in the newspapers..... darn I think I see a black helicopter.....
And here is another interesting video about Kenya and last years election. Towards the end, it gives Obama's link, and his use of our tax money, to fund this radical socialists run for president... yet another radical... linked to Obama... how many does it take.... before everyone starts asking basic questions....

Commercial's I would like to see.... # 1
Commercial # 1
18+ Billion in pork is a small fraction... a tiny amount.
I would love to see McCain versus Obama... with a clip of Obama stating what a small fraction this is of our government's entire budget... as if it is a pittance. I would then see a version of Obama, holding a big cash bag, handing out wads of million dollars to a long line of people (with their pork project labeled and use real projects he has requested money for). Then flash to the grocery store, an average woman with children, paying for their bill, short 10.00, and putting things back the kids candy so they can pay their bill. (subtle message, when we are short on money, our kids do without pork spending... we don't charge it to the next generation)
Then McCain saying... Obama thinks 18 Billion is not an significant amount. Maybe if he had to chose between which groceries to buy, he, like us, would agree that 18 Billion is a significant amount of money. This Government has got to start spending less money, and I believe this 18 Billion is a good place to start.
A commercial like this would relate to me... my family... my aunts/uncles/friends, because we all have been there, done that.... There are times I anxiously watch the cash register total, hoping I can get it all bought with the money I have on hand... and meanwhile... Obama thinks 18 Billion is not much money... not compared to a trillion dollar budget. The only way to get that trillion down, is to start eliminating all these 18 billion dollar wastes.
Wondering why McCain's promoters do not write commercials that use the abundance of material the other side drops for us.... common sense people. Quit responding and get back on the offensive.
Wondering what the pay scale is for a stay at home... campaign commercial writer.... been there, doing that... watch for the next in my series...

What I like about McCain?
Well.... I have stated and will state again... I am not wild about either Presidential candidate. But for the record, want to state why I am voting for McCain... what I like about the man.
1. I believe in a smaller government. I don't mean me paying less taxes than today. I can live with the amount I am paying. I mean my government spending less of the money they do have and living in their means... paying off their debts. I want to hear Washington will spend less, not offer more programs. If they offer more programs, I want to hear how they will cut enough programs to close the deficit first, pay towards the national debt second, and then start new programs.
I also want a smaller government in my life. I do not want congress and the Federal Courts making laws for my state, my town. We are the United States... not the United State. Each State should have freedom to decide how to govern itself.
I want the constitution to stand and not have out of control judges deliberately misreading the constitution.
I don't own a gun, but I should be allowed to if I so chose. One son wants to start hunting and once he completes his hunter safety courses... we will become a gun toting family... well after we buy secure safes, one for the gun, another for the ammo... and only us parents have the combinations.
2. I like that McCain was willing to chose a VP who would, quite frankly, outshine him. He went for the person he felt would best represent what the voters in his party are looking for, versus a mini him. It takes a lot of guts to chose this way. To see her drawing crowds far greater than his, Biden's and Obama, has to hurt.... yet he truly seems to like her... truly seems proud of her as she grows in her role.
3. I like knowing, without a doubt, that McCain loves this country, and what it stands for, with all his being. I have no doubt he would give his own life to protect the freedom we so proudly proclaim. In my lifetime, I have seen a lot of men and women, want to be President and try to be President. One thing I admire about this man, is he wants the Presidency so he can serve America, not so he can achieve some personal agenda or as a source of personal pride/bragging rights. He truly wants to serve and to him, this is the ultimate service, to lead this country. It certainly is not a popular service. The last four or five presidents have been horribly harassed by America. From Carter until today... Presidents have not been honored, they have been ripped to shreds.
4. I don't agree with all his policies... but I have to admit, he is not afraid to head his own direction. He is both friend and enemy of the republicans and democrats. I have never seen him as a follower of Bush... I have seen him as a frustration to Pres. Bush. No one ever seems to know which side he will end up on with issues. I don't think either side can claim to own McCain. And since neither party can claim ownership of my votes.... I kinda like not being owned by a party exclusively.
5. His commitment to life. Years ago I read an article in Reader's Digest about a Catholic hospital in Illinois that fired a nurse for going public about aborted babies, born alive, being allowed to die without treatment or even humanity. Since this same thing happened to my own grandma... (go back and read my post honoring her) She had been forced to lie in bed, very ill from a horrid delivery, and listen to her baby cry as he died. Yes her baby would have died anyway, and so would a lot of these babies who live thru an abortion. But, as she use to tell me thru her tears... "I could have held him while he died. He could have died, being comforted, held, loved". Why not allow a nurse or other person to hold these tiny babies while they die? Why not try to save them and see if a miracle happens? Of course partial birth abortion eliminates that risk of live birth. You can't live after a tool is rammed into the base of your skull and your brain is sucked out of your head. No risk of a live birth with this procedure. Maybe that is why pro-choice fight so hard to keep this method legal. Humane? Well not the way they describe the arms and legs going stiff and shaking in horrid pain. Can you even imagine, being weeks away from birth... being able to survive outside a womb... and being killed this way? What mother, who has held a newborn, could visualize any child suffering this way and still support this type of abortion? We don't allow puppies to be treated this way... but allow children to be cruelly terminated. The fact that McCain will fight to stop this horrid form of abortion.. well it means something.
6. His experience... He is not a man to give up... ever. When the odds are against him... he fights on. Vietnam, prisoner of war.... cancer.... running for President... congress.... the man never quits fighting for the country he has dedicated his life to serving and leading. We don't have to doubt that he knows how to work in Washington, around the world, and lead this country. We do not have to "create" foreign experience for him. The rest of the world is not excited about having him... a strong, experienced leader, run our country. At the same time, they can find little to criticize about him... except he is running under the Republican ticket.
7. We know this man. We know where he stands on issues. We know what he believes in. He has released his life as an open book. We know his family troubles. I can't think of anything this man has hidden from American in regards to his life.
8. He has never taken 1 dollar of Pork money. Wow, is there actually a person in Washington who is not owned by one support group of another.
9. He listed his greatest regret.... how he treated his ex wife. Wow... I only hear ex's blame the other. I never hear one take responsibility and express regret in their own actions. As parents, we try to teach our kids to take responsibility... as a former team leader, I told my co-workers to admit when they messed up, instead of hiding it, and apologize. It tends to stop anger in it's tracks when you sincerely take responsibility and sincerely apologize. I admire him for living by this standard.
10. His ex-wife is one of his supporters. To me, it says a lot, that a woman you mistreated by having affairs.... now feels you have grown as a man... and has forgiven you to the point that she will be voting for you. She has every reason to NOT want him as President.... yet she is pulling for him. Once again, it says a lot.
There is more, but this is my quick list.... ticked off as I wait for kids to get up this morning for school.
Along a different line...
One big reason I want him to win is historically, one party controlling the house, senate and Presidency... has ended poorly for Americans. I once cheered when the Republicans controlled all three houses I heard the old timers stating this never works out well for America and removes the checks/balances that make our country strong. I didn't believe it then.... but I do now. Funny how living thru something makes one look at it differently. I can't believe, as a country, we are this close to doing the same thing again.
Singing praises for McCain.... been there... done that.

What I would ask/say to the candidates...
Top 10 from McCain....
1. How will you bring jobs to America?
2. How will you keep the jobs we have today?
3. What are your options, other than war, to protect America in these trying times?
4. Why do you keep giving interviews to the liberal press without demanding to know why they won't cover the questions below for Obama? They questioned Palin's child's maternity and paternity.... plastered her daughter all over the web...
5. Why did you sell us out to the pork projects? Why not hang tough? I understand that Washington works this way... but I want to believe you are going to try to change Washington. If you were not willing to do it now, in this crisis, during an election cycle... Why should I trust you to do it once you are President? The bail out was one thing... however, even 1 dollar of pork was too much.
6. Why don't you stand up to Obama? I truly have concerns when you don't call him on issues.... such as him being 8 when Ayers did his terrible deeds.... He was 30+ when he spent time on committee's and in his home. I don't judge him as an 8 year old boy... I want to judge him as a man. What did he do with Ayers, discuss with Ayers, as a man? What do they agree about, disagree about? What about his refusal to release his educational records, his thesis, his health records, his birth certificate.... why aren't you demanding these things and showing the US that something is wrong with a man who hides this much of himself. Why aren't you making commercials showing you have not asked for 1 dollar of pork in 25+ years in congress... and Obama has requested almost 1,000,000/day. When he claims the total pork is only 18 billion dollars... why don't you laugh out loud and state that most of America would consider 18 billion worth saving.... just offer it to any of us Americans.... I think we would take it.... to insinuate and state that this is a small, insignificant amount of money... why didn't you laugh out loud or at least call him on it. Do you believe 18 billion is an insignificant amount? Why aren't there commercials showing him saying this...with you and Palin together saying 18 Billion matters to you!!! That every dollar we tax payers struggle to pay to our government matters to you!!! And Acorn? What about Acorn? They endorsed Obama. They are tax funded at least somewhat. There is proven corruption in Ohio. I am sick of seeing their reps claim that they have registered record new voters and we should all be thrilled. I can't help but wonder, where did those new voters register? Was it in the states Obama was already winning by a landslide, or was it battleground states and typically Republican states? I would be willing to bet their number one goal was not getting voters registered... but in getting Democratic voters in battleground and McCain states. Call them out on this? Get the stats and call them out. You have more ammo to use than any candidate in the past 20 years and you or your staff are dropping the ball.... come one people. Either start fighting a smart fight, or just ask us all to endorse Obama or not vote at all.... give up.... because sometimes, it seems you already have.
7. Will you promise, today, to give back, to the tax payers, every penny you received from the financial institutions who are now receiving our tax dollars as a bailout. Obviously, these people felt they were bribing Washington and you... whether this was true or not. Will you make a statement and give these funds back? Will you call on all of congress to do the same? What a great commercial that would make... you giving back your funds... and calling on Obama and the rest of Congress to do the same.... and name the amount Obama has taken... Ask American if they think it is fair for you guys in Congress to keep these funds... as we are asked to dig deeper to pay for this bailout. I am telling you... we working American's would perk up with an add like that.
8. Palin - why aren't you advertising the huge following this woman is generating. If the press won't cover it, you should. Web commercials... Youtube videos.... something showing she is pulling in 60,000 people at her speeches. America is speaking... the press doesn't want to listen, but you have a job to get the message out without the press. Use the internet.... use the bloggers.... use YouTube. Make your own commercials.... get your people to do it. You picked a pitbull and muzzling her and keeping her on a leash. You might as well have picked a lapdog. Let the Pitbull go... lets see what she can do without a leash and muzzle.
9. In the past, one part controlling the Presidency, Senate and house.... has proved disastrous... do you foresee the same thing, should Obama win?
10. Why don't you speak about Abortion. It is the unspoken line in the sand. We all know this one issue divides both parties. Instead of trying to win the pro-choicer, which is hard if not impossible... why not go for the mild pro-lifers.... those who would like to see late term abortions stopped... who would like to see all abortions decreased. Why not point out that Roe vs Wade being overturned will not end abortion...but will give the control over abortion back to the states instead of the Federal Government. Some states could outlaw it but most would restrict it and make tighter controls
Top 10 from Obama
1. Why won't you release your Birth Certificate to end the lawsuit currently pending against you? And not a copy on the internet, but a real copy that the legal system can have their pro's examine. Copies can be altered. Why can't copies be obtained in Hawaii? I know in our state, anyone can get a copy of anyone elses b-certificate by merely ordering it off the internet... I just did for a friend in another country. Got 5 certified copies of her son's b-certificate and mailed them to her overseas... All without any request to show I was a relative. Yet it is being said your's is not on record in the Hawaiian records system? Is this true or false and if false, why not provide yours to the courts and stop this trial.
2. Why won't you release your college records? Including your application forms and thesis... what do these records contain that are so high a risk that you cannot release them for public review.
3. Why won't you release your health records? McCain has a horrid health history and released his complete medical reports. The fact that you won't release your medical history, full release, makes one wonder what could be in yours that is worse than McCains.
4. Why, when you won't release the above, should we trust you? When you hide things, it makes it very hard to build a trust. The fact is, you probably will be our president, it would be nice to see you open up on these secretive issues. It would be nice to see the press ask you some of these questions.
5. When you ran for congress, you promised to reduce taxes for the middle class... in your two years in congress... what did you do to keep that promise?
6. During your time as a State Representative, did you at any time, reduce taxes for the middle class in Illinois?
7. Do you consider yourself favor a Democratic society, a Socialist, a Marxist and/or a communist? Do you feel you have leanings in any of these directions. In my own life, I have leaned in different directions and merged directions at times... I just feel you have dodged giving your true feelings on your dream government for the United States....
8. Will you guarantee you will remove pork projects from our government? I know you said 18 billion is a small fraction of our countries budget.... but I say... we have to start somewhere and 18 billion... that seems a good place to start in my book.
9. Will you give back, to the US taxpayers, every penny you took from the financial institutions that are now taking our tax dollars? Obviously, they felt they were bribing you, whether you felt this way or intended it to be this way... will you, today, give that money back to the taxpayers to help pay for this bailout? Will you call on all of congress to do the same?
10. What do you think about Acorn? Do you think Ohio should hold all those registrations or demand identification, proof of residency, based on the known corruption? If you feel Acorn does a great job registering voters... could you detail how many people they registered in non-battleground states, versus battleground states? Do you believe it is fair for them to receive government funding when they endorsed you?
Both of you...
1. Why should we trust either of you? Both of you have accepted Washington just works this way.... even if you disagree with it. Both of you signed off on these port projects just to get this bail out approved.
2. Most of us don't really care about your promises... tax cuts... etc.... we don't believe we will see any money. We would rather you put in writing that you will never, ever, sign off on tax increases... than have you promise tax decreases. We are not stupid. We realize most, if not all, campaign promises are not real... often out of control of the politician themselves... most are just bribes for our votes.... What is the one thing you would truly love to do, if elected... not a promise... just one dream you would like to see.
3. Try to make this next debate a little less boring.... we have heard the same things over and over and over.... if you really want to win.... give us something new please.... open up and let us see the real you... not the you that the polls says you should be. I would like to see some honesty for a change.
4. What do both of you think about the Ohio situation? The Acorn situation? What will both of you do to ensure that future elections are honest. We have had Florida and now Ohio... seems every election there is some type of corruption. How can we trust you guys to lead our country, when neither of you are coming up with ways to ensure a simple election is honest?
5. You both have psycho followers... Oh well. I don't expect either of you to apologize. You can't control your followers. The press and others are demanding too much when they ask you to monitor t-shirts and the screams of crazed followers. As long as neither of you endorse the behavior, I don't hold either of you accountable and to be quite honest, am sick of hearing more about the wierdo's than where my tax dollars are currently going.
And a request to both of you....
Please realize we have brains... common sense... realize your exaggerations... realize your almost lies.... and the people who are not smart enough to realize them... will probably also forget to vote.... can we say been there... done that.... and get beyond the exaggerations and almost but not quite lies.
Please tell me this article is a joke?!?!
OK browsing yahoo news and found the following about Virginia cutting government jobs and not filling jobs.... and their Governor, doing his part to conserve tax payer dollars by.... cutting the mansions food budget by 1/4 and get this.... by not dry cleaning the drapes as often. Yeah I am impressed. I am sure the 500+ laid off workers will be glad to know those drapes are not getting cleaned... AS OFTEN.
Let's see... Palin let the cook go... let the driver go... somehow, since a working mom is doing the cooking I bet the grocery bill is no where near as high as it would be with a paid chef.
I wonder what I could save this Chef if I did his grocery shopping... Sav A Lot and Audi's have great bargains. Sam's Club's corn dogs are very cheap.
As for the drapes... maybe he needs to move to washable curtains.... Dollar Store has some nice ones.
Doesn't it tick anyone else off that we American workers are told to tighten our belts, drive less (I am not sure how we do this... we only drive to work and school as it is)... well and to DR. appts, Dentist Appts... and to care for sick elderly parents. But which of these do we cut? We haven't done movies and restaurants for a while now. We have even cut out Webkinz until things get better. Allowances have gone.... We eat a lot of egg's and hamburger as it is.... Pasta dishes and bean dishes are staples.
Yes we can still cut back, but somehow, having a Governor, living in a tax paid for house, with a tax paid for staff, both at home and work, telling us he is cutting 1/4th from his grocery bills, and reminding me he lives in a house with nice enough drapes to require regular dry cleaning.... it just didn't sit to well with me. And we have it better than most families around us.... certainly better than the 500+ employees he had to lay off.
Oh I forgot his fewer trips.... I won't even go there... Maybe the AIG folks can put in for more bailout money so they can take him on their next spa trip....
Here is the article... see how it sits with you....
Virginia orders 570 state layoffs amid budget woes By BOB LEWIS, AP Political Writer
1 hour, 57 minutes ago
RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine is laying off 570 state workers as the state's budget outlook worsens amid the global financial crisis.
The cuts are the deepest in at least five years in Virginia. Kaine also said Thursday morning that college funding is being cut, state employee raises are being postponed and another 800 jobs will go unfilled.
The Democratic governor says the state is likely to be $973 million short this fiscal year and $1.5 billion short in the fiscal year that begins next summer.
Earlier this week, Kaine said budget woes are prompting cuts at the governor's mansion, too. He's said he will reduce the mansion's grocery bill by one fourth, take fewer trips and dry clean his drapes less often.

Please tell me I heard wrong...
On Hannity and Colmes... on Ayers...
Did I just hear Colmes ask, when confronted with the bombings, including the Capital Building, that Ayers was part of back in the Vietnam war era, "Was anyone killed?".
Excuse me? I realize people are passionate in their anti-war stance. I am passionate in my anti-abortion stance. I have never justified the bombings of abortion clinics because "no one was killed". I cannot believe Alan Colmes just used this as a defense for Ayers....
Nor do I feel my passion gives me a right to do such a horrid thing. I cannot believe I am hearing the Press justify bombing US buildings, for any reason.
So now we can bomb buildings who house people who participate in things we are passionate against...without punishment or consequences... as long as no one dies.... Are you serious?
Shaking my head, wondering just how far we will go to get our person elected?
Is there any wrong that cannot be justified... for the right cause....
Feeling shocked, stunned and saddened at the nightly news... wondering if we have really come this far... into immorality.... been there.... wanting to get out of there and back to a world where common sense plays a role.... done that.

Does forgiveness mean no consequences....
I was just asked this today?
We were having an Ayers/Obama talk, resulting from Sean Hannity's show. I was asked if Ayers should have to live his entire life, making up for poor choices he made during the heat of the Vietnam war.
Number 1: I do not "not forgive" Ayers. I did not lose someone as a result of his actions or the movement he supported. I did not lose money as a result of things that were bombed and/or destroyed. I don't feel he needs to ask me for forgiveness. What I would like to know, is that he regrets using bombs to make himself heard... as a form of resistance. I would like to know he regrets that members of his organization did things that resulted in lives being lost. Much more important, I would like to know that he would never encourage this type of resistance again.
Number 2: I do not know if he has asked anyone for forgiveness, wants forgiveness, or feels he has ever done anything to warrant forgiveness. If he feels he needs forgiveness from me, of course he has it.
Number 3: Christian's are commanded to forgive, even when we have not been asked. In other words, someone harms you or your family, you are to forgive them. A great example was the Amish School shooting. The day this happened, the families publically forgave the man who massacred their children. I happen to live among the Amish and they are kind and gentle people who just want to live in their simply world. They have no desire to control the country or argue politics. They just want to raise their families and worship in peace. To see them harmed this way, broke my heart. To see them so forgiving of the man who did this horrid thing, warmed my broken heart. This does not mean the perpetrator does not have to pay societies consequences, often prison. Today, it can also mean a lifetime of judgement. Is this fair? I don't think it is, but it is a consequence of actions. There are a lot of repentant people in prisons. Just being repentant is not grounds for punishment and restoration of reputation. Some people are truly sorry for the things they have done, and yet they do them again in a moment of weakness (drunk drives, habitual sex offenders, drug addicts). A lot of people who get out of prison, live perfect lives, never committing another crime. One is a foster brother of mine. He is a great man and I love him dearly. Yet choices he made as a 20 year old man, will affect his life until he dies. He was caught dealing drugs when he was about 20. He did his time and has worked hard since his release 20+ years ago. He has obeyed the law since his release. He has been an ideal citizen. But his crime still dictates some consequences that will follow him the rest of his life. For instance, he cannot adopt a child. He has a felony on his record. So back to Ayers... forgiveness, yes, he should be forgiven his crimes, his mistakes.... but he will have to live with the consequences of his actions. No where does the Bible exclude consequences while on Earth.
As for Obama.... I am not sure why he is allowed to excuse so many radical contacts.... One quote mentioned that he and Ayers children attended the same school. Yes, that is possible, but was it at the same time? Ayers's children are grown, Obama's are young elementary children. It is hard to believe they were ever in the school system together. I am not sure how this justifies contact with Ayers.
As for Ayers doing his crimes while Obama was merely 8 years old.... some of my best friendships, those I would consider my mentors, those I admired the most, were many years older than me. It was their life experiences that intrigued and drew me to them. It was how they grew from those experiences that inspired me. I am not sure how Ayers being so much older than Obama excludes him from being a mentor or an influence in Obama's life.
I think there are a lot of questionable things in Obama's life and I think a little openness from their campaign would go a long way towards alleviating those concerns.
I myself would like him to release his college records, especially his Thesis. If he truly has nothing to hide, why refuse to release this document?
What about his Birth certificate. A lawsuit is currently going on, simply requesting for a copy to be released to the public. A simple thing to request and it concerns me that he denies this request. Why are they fighting this lawsuit? Fighting it makes me wonder if there is something to hide. So I went to some of the factcheck spots and saw that he did give a copy to one of the sites. For a while that satisfied me and I knocked this off my list of concerns. However, the prosecution in the lawsuit maintain it is forged and that the factcheck site he released it to, has ties to Obama. Info on the lawsuit can be found on www.obamalies.net The bigger point is this would go away if he released his Birth certificate to the courts. The main issue with his birth certificate is whether he was born in Hawaii as claimed, or in Kenya. If he was born in Kenya, he is not a US citizen, or was not a US citizen at birth. Fair or unfair, one must be born a US Citizen to be president of the US. So this is a valid issue... but not one that gets much press attention or any questions on why this birth certificate is not being released to the courts. If there were questions on McCain, Palin or even Biden's citizenship, the press would be insane over it... why is Obama exempt? The press was obsessed with the paternity of her young son and her daughter's pregnancy. Neither of which invalidates her being President of the US one day. However... not being born a US Citizen certainly would eliminate someone. One would think the Government would still have his mother's passport information from back then, showing when she re-entered the United States... but maybe not. Surely there is a way to determine this even if the courts do not stand up and demand this info.

Some of the video links on that site are no longer available, but a quick search on www.youtube.com found other copies. I will attach them to this post. Don't be surprised if YouTube removes these copies as well.
Why are the videos being removed from YouTube? Because it resembles days of yesteryear that many would prefer not seeing... kids singing to Hitler, Castro, and other communist leaders. The indoctrination of young children in a human being as their savior. When have we seen children almost worshipping a human this way.... In my lifetime, I only remember Jim Jones and the purple Koolaid. It gives me the creeps. Is it Obama's fault that this icky worship is occurring... no... but it doesn't make it any less scary. I am not sure Obama is the one who scares me most... I think it is the parents who smile, almost glazed eyed, as their children sing worship songs to a man who may one day be a great leader, but today, is simply a man.

Is this true....
I can't find it on any of the fact checkers but maybe I am not searching correctly. Mike Huckabee has his own show on Fox network. He just stated that in Obama's 900+ days in the Senate, he has requested 900,000,000 plus in pork earmarks. Roughly/just shy of 1,000,000/day he has been in the Senate.
On the other hand, John McCain has been in the Senate roughly 7945 days and has asked for.... wait for it.... wait for it.... ZERO, zip, nada, nothing... not one dollar in pork earmarks.
Why hasn't the press covered this? Why aren't there commercials on this fact? Right now, I am not the only American frustrated about the pork in this bail out/rescue. Instead of smearing, show some real facts like above... and let us see what each Senator has done, which is a good measuring stick for what they will do in the future.
Dang, just when I get mad at the man (voting for the bail out without insisting the pork be removed), he goes and does something that impresses me. I am really, really sick of these pork spendings.

My husband was a big Huckabee fan... me not so much. I didn't dislike him... still don't. I just have a lot of friends in various faiths... and while we don't agree with about 3% of each others beliefs, we do all believe in the basics of Christianity and Jesus. I didn't like seeing them labeled in hurtful ways. However, I must admit, I am glad to see someone willing to publicize who is requesting this pork and how much they are getting. I hope they go back and research the last 20 years worth and broadcast it weekly. I would love to see it broadcasted all over YouTube until the main media is forced to address this abuse.
People claim information is knowledge and knowledge is good, knowledge is strength, knowledge is power.... but they don't really mean all information is good.... What they really mean is "we will tell you what your level of understanding can handle. After all, you don't have all the degrees... all the experience... to handle the information". Hmmm... wasn't there a movie about "You Can't Handle the Truth".
I think we can handle it... I think Washington is afraid we will start truly holding them accountable and flooding them with the likes of Palin. Can you imagine if the Dems find their own Palin's for 2012. I mean if the Press and the current administrations, both Rep and Dem, don't get control of this movement.... why it might just become harder and harder to hide corruption in Washington. If they are not careful, we might just get some great Congress men and women elected who will vote for Congress to get the same retirement the rest of us get... and it isn't 100% of our salary, even if we retire after 4 years in office!!!!
Seriously, I am not as angry as I probably sound. I really just shake my head, wondering how we all became so lax about our government? And what does it take to wake people up... and have them really hold people accountable. More important, I am wondering where common sense has gone in America. And I am a bit afraid we have waited too long to hold our leaders accountable and demand they work in an ethical manner. As a result of our delay, I think some very hard times are coming. I have been stockpiling groceries for a while now. It takes a lot of food for 8 people.... Dang those black helicopters....
We all know what these pork projects really are... they are bribes. Legal bribes. I do not believe bribes have a place in our government. I think our officials should not be demanding bribes in the name of pork projects just to vote on this bail out/rescue.
If our officials truly believed, truly believed this bailout was so critical... why did it take bribing to get it passed? Why take advantage of a crisis, to get more money for your state... It is beyond sad. We are better than this...
Pondering way too long on politics.... been there... doing that.

Boo moved out...
Of our room that is.... out of six children, all our kids were able to sleep in their own beds from the night they moved in.... all except Boo. Boo needed to twist her hands in my hair so I could not escape. For years now, I have slept with fingers twisted in my hair.
About a year ago, she stopped holding my hair but would still wake up in a panic and grasp for me often.
Last summer, she spent three weeks away from my hair and me.... she spent one week with my mother (gripping her hair) and two weeks with her paternal grandparents (gripping Blondie's hair).
Two nights ago, Boo asked her daddy to help her clean her room and re-hang her Princess thingy that drapes from the ceiling, over her bed.... He said he would hang it if she would sleep in her room. She agreed, and the past two nights, has slept alone, in her room, in her bed.
Make no mistake, I am glad I get a deep sleep again... but part of me misses being needed so much by Boo.
I already see my older kids needing me less and less (actually I don't... they just need me in a different way... to drive them places, to buy them things, to practice their sarcasm and debating skills on). I just miss that needing to be close to Mom. She plays outside with friends now. Something she would not have done last summer. Not without Mom close by and watching. She is into building clubs with her friends... ramping on bikes... and sadly to say... Mom is not needed for these things either.
Wow what a change from a year ago.
At least I am still her teacher... for as long as she wants to be home schooled. I will take what I can get.... no wonder my Dad keeps screaming at me for not visiting more while Boo is young... He knows what I didn't... that soon enough... even she will pull away and become her own young woman, marry one day, have her own kids... and move them away from Grandma... leave me to sit on my porch, rocking and hoping the phone rings so I can at least hear their voices.... (My dad's description of his days). Bless Grandpa's heart. He called me months ago. I answered the phone, he said sternly, "Listen to this". I waited about a minute, hearing nothing and said, "Dad, I don't hear anything". He replied, "Exactly", and hung up on me. Bless his heart, I think I am going to be just like him :( A few friends of mine have adopted children into their sixties. I can see why. I am pretty sure we won't follow in their shoes due to health issues... but I can certainly see why they do what they do and thank God they have the health to do it. If I had the money or the health... just one of the two... I think I would join them.
I really am this sad to see my kids growing up. Yet anxious and excited too. Our oldest are really showing signs of being great men one day. They have come so far. I wish I could share how far to give hope to other parents of older adopted children.... but their privacy trumps helping other families.
Anyway... not sure what kind of day this is... but I have been there, done that, whatever it was...
Pictures coming soon... all the kids are changing so much... I have just been busy with homeschooling, sports and politics.... add work, dentist appts, and driving teens to and from work/sports.... and I just don't have a spare minute. But soon.... I am taking them... just not taking the time to upload them.

black helicopter....
Sometimes I get forwarded something that makes me think I am in a "X-Files" black helicopter episode. This is one of those things. Sadly though, this was filmed in 1985. If it were filmed today, I would discount it entirely. But when I watch it, realizing it was filed 22 years ago... and so much he talks about has come to be... wow it is scary. I wonder, is he correct in saying nothing will change a left's mind... because they have been so brainwashed, so indoctrinated.... they can no longer change their minds. When he describes their fate, it too scares me. As much as I dislike the liberal press, Michael Moore and others... I would never want the fate he describes.... Of course the far right is destroyed in his story too... but we were always the enemy.... the religious right. The liberal press, liberal education system, hollywood... they were all the allies... and yet they are imprisoned... they are exterminated.... because the new Marxist system has no room for rebels or free speaking minds. Anyway, here is the clip... and listen for those black helicopters as you listen....
watching for silent black helicopters.... never been there before... but darting my head back and forth now... (just kidding)
Far more seriously.... pondering the possibilities of this clip... He certainly predicted 20+ years ago... where we would be today.

FFF Favorite Foto Friday

I was forwarded this pic and it reminded me of a true story.... One I haven't often shared because it appears very smug and bragging and I don't want to be seen that way. But to explain why this picture touched me so greatly, the story has to be told.
A few years ago, we went to a Christmas dinner at my son's school. His therapist was there with his autistic son. His son sat down across from me and I commented on his food choices. Therapist S. seemed stunned when his son responded to me, talked to me and basically had a good time.
A few weeks later, we took our son back to his therapist and S told me, "I wasn't sure about your family when you first came here last month. You had six kids, five with some significant issues. You were losing it big time. Your husband looked exhausted. But you are great people. I want you to know you are really great people". He then apologized and cried as he confessed he shouldn't judge people and hoped I would forgive him.
I asked him where this came from and he replied, "My son won't talk to most people. He has this knack for recognizing and only talking to really good hearted people. He won't smile or talk at all to most people. At some point in his life, we realized he only responded to really kind hearted people... good people. At that dinner, the only people he responded to was your entire family. He liked all of you. That told me a lot. It told me your kids are great kids because my son can tell. And it told me you both are great parents. My son really truly can tell. It is his gift. Almost all autistic kids have a gift and my sons is reading people's hearts. Your kids have great hearts and we are going to do whatever it takes to get their minds on the same tracks as their hearts".
And he is right at least about my kids.... some days, my heart doesn't feel so kind. My kids struggle with issues from abandonment, adoption, rejection... so many adoption related issues. As younger kids, people didn't notice because the kids laughed, smiled, played.... they were kind to animals, kind to younger children... no obvious red flags. But teen years hurt adopted children. They suddenly mature enough to realize all the avoided areas of adoption... like "why wasn't I good enough for her to keep". No matter how kind our answers are in return... they are growing up and they know their parents could have made very different choices. Society seems to think they should not have these issues and society is not very forgiving about these issues.
I digress though... I saw this picture and it told me just how great a person Gov. Palin is. My instincts about her are right. Just look at that little girls face. Pure happiness... pure trust.
She knew good people when they held her....
And look at Mrs. McCain.... I think her hand on her heart says it all.... she too recognized that this woman her husband picked as his running mate has something special. Hard to pinpoint it... hard to define it... so I will define it as basically as possible, the way we common, not so highly educated people define things... she is good people.
Why Mom's are so amazing....
Mom I need lunch money...
Where is your lunch money....
I lost it yesterday....
What do you mean you lost it? I gave you a five and told you it was for two days.
I know, but I lost it so I need more money.
I am sorry dear, but you are 13 now. You promised you could handle five dollars... that you could keep track of the change. We have a tight, tight budget. Now dear... I want you to know... I can tell you are not being honest with me. What was our deal? If you want me to trust you, you have to earn and maintain that trust... remember that talk? (head shakes yes, eyes water a bit). Would you like to tell me what really happened with that 3 dollars.
During study hall... I bought a pop and some candy out of the machines.
Do you understand that today, you will go hungry at school.
Yes... but it isn't fair. I need lunch.
I agree, you need lunch. You also need to live with the consequences of your choices. If I give in on this... and sweetie I could give in... would I be helping you grow into the wonderful person I know you will one day be... or will I be helping you grow into an entitled person... who feels they do not have to be held accountable for their choices?
I don't like it.
Honey, I don't either. But I also don't like the choice you made. Do you regret that choice.
Well I do now but I didn't then.
That is a very wise observation. You have learned something.
Yes that you are mean.
Well think about it a bit longer and maybe you will realize you learned a lot more.
And that was the end of our conversation as my teen slammed the door and ran to catch the bus....
This was a real conversation this morning....
Fast forward to a few hours ago. I have a horrid cold and hubbie is trying to deal with the kids, supper... just being a great dad/husband.... until the kids decided to be typical kids.
He did it first...
No he did it first...
Ask mom, she saw, he walked by and pushed me, so I pushed him back.
No, I did push him, but he tried to trip me first. No one could see because of the couch but he tripped me, so I pushed him, then he pushed me back.
Dad - Enough boys, No more pushing. How many times do we say, no retaliation. Parents only punish, not you kids. You tell us... we do the punishing.
It was his fault...
No it was his fault...
Was not
Was to
(volume just keeps rising until Dad loses it and screams STOP IT, you both lose your webkinz for the rest of the evening).
I roll off the couch and jump in...
Ducky... when Spanky tripped you, what were your choices....
Push him, hit him, kick him...
OK what were your other choices...
Tell you or Dad...
Do you see how the choice you made lost you the webkinz... caused a huge battle... caused the screaming...
Spanky, do you see how your two choices... to trip and then push back, lead to the loss of your webkinz...
What would have happened if either of you had made a different choice?
And the day moved on.... into various spats similar to the above... with us walking them thru the choices they made and the consequences of those choices.
Later, as we parents sat together watching our kids play nicely.... we both commented how weary we often become, teaching our children. Constantly, never ending, teaching.... and it seems it is the same thing over and over and over.
We flipped on the news and saw our politician's... each blaming the other for this crisis... none wanting to admit they made choices that put us in this situation.... and sadly, no one, anywhere, wanting those who made the choices to stand accountable.
My young children are receiving a better education in reality than the "highly educated, highly experienced" officials in Washington.
I am sorry so many liberals do not understand my excitement about Sarah Palin, but you know what.... I bet she would have sent her kid to school without lunch money too.
And my child did learn more than she realizes.... little Blondie learned that making the right choice doesn't always make us feel good. That making the wrong choice often makes us happy.... at least until we are faced with the consequences for our choices. That is a powerful lesson.
Unfortunately, in our government's case, they are coming back to us... the children... to bail them out. They are suppose to be the leaders/parents... and they are coming back to us... to bail them out so they do not have to live with the consequences of the choices they made years ago, that made wall street and many other rich... but now is demanding it's due. And to top it off, they are not content with just getting another 2.00 for today's lunch money... they also want another 3.00 so they can have another soda and candy (all the pork they put in the bail outs).
It is sad.... very sad... and maybe, just maybe... having a mom who has struggled to get by... and who by all appearances is doing an incredible job raising her children.... well just maybe she will make a difference and maybe she will try to get people to live with the consequences of their choices. Maybe there will be some basic accountability that we mom's have to enforce in our homes daily.
The other three candidates... well I have not seen any of them do anything different...
As for dealing with other difficult leaders... Mom's do that too. Obnoxious parents, angry teachers, bus drivers, school bullies.... whether we like compromise and negotiation or not, we have to do it daily.
Now this is going to amaze you... but if Palin wins... I will be thrilled... if she loses... it will be OK too.... Like many other's, I think that might just get her to the big seat 4 years faster.... If she loses this year... we have 4 years to wait instead of 8 for a President Palin... has a nice ring to it.
Pondering raising children and wishing the politicians would learn these basic life lessons too... that their choices have consequences and some of those consequences will hurt not only themselves but many other people.
Hoping that Momma Palin can bring some of that logic, with her leadership skills and her quick witt and intelligence... to Washington... Give Washington accountability again... Go Momma Palin Go... If you lose as VP, rest up.... the big P is just 4 years away.
Been there... done that.
Where is your lunch money....

So when did the mortgage crisis really start?
I have heard Carter... Bush 42.... Clinton... and current Pres. Bush.... Here is a link and a copy of an article from 1999, New York Times, that was forwarded to me. Very interesting reading.... and looks like this problem started 9 years ago... not the past 8 years.... I am certainly not saying it was not complicated in the past 9 years.... but it started before Pres. Bush. Goes along with my position that ... Dem... Rep... it doesn't matter. Not when you elect the same ole, same ole people we have in congress today, many of who supported the very things that have caused this mess. We need something different. We need someone with common sense, someone who has not been part of the problem the last 9 years.... and Sarah Palin is the only one who fits this mold....

Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending
By STEVEN A. HOLMES
Published: September 30, 1999
In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders.
The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring.
Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.
In addition, banks, thrift institutions and mortgage companies have been pressing Fannie Mae to help them make more loans to so-called subprime borrowers. These borrowers whose incomes, credit ratings and savings are not good enough to qualify for conventional loans, can only get loans from finance companies that charge much higher interest rates -- anywhere from three to four percentage points higher than conventional loans.
''Fannie Mae has expanded home ownership for millions of families in the 1990's by reducing down payment requirements,'' said Franklin D. Raines, Fannie Mae's chairman and chief executive officer. ''Yet there remain too many borrowers whose credit is just a notch below what our underwriting has required who have been relegated to paying significantly higher mortgage rates in the so-called subprime market.''
Demographic information on these borrowers is sketchy. But at least one study indicates that 18 percent of the loans in the subprime market went to black borrowers, compared to 5 per cent of loans in the conventional loan market.
In moving, even tentatively, into this new area of lending, Fannie Mae is taking on significantly more risk, which may not pose any difficulties during flush economic times. But the government-subsidized corporation may run into trouble in an economic downturn, prompting a government rescue similar to that of the savings and loan industry in the 1980's.
''From the perspective of many people, including me, this is another thrift industry growing up around us,'' said Peter Wallison a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. ''If they fail, the government will have to step up and bail them out the way it stepped up and bailed out the thrift industry.''
Under Fannie Mae's pilot program, consumers who qualify can secure a mortgage with an interest rate one percentage point above that of a conventional, 30-year fixed rate mortgage of less than $240,000 -- a rate that currently averages about 7.76 per cent. If the borrower makes his or her monthly payments on time for two years, the one percentage point premium is dropped.
Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, does not lend money directly to consumers. Instead, it purchases loans that banks make on what is called the secondary market. By expanding the type of loans that it will buy, Fannie Mae is hoping to spur banks to make more loans to people with less-than-stellar credit ratings.
Fannie Mae officials stress that the new mortgages will be extended to all potential borrowers who can qualify for a mortgage. But they add that the move is intended in part to increase the number of minority and low income home owners who tend to have worse credit ratings than non-Hispanic whites.
Home ownership has, in fact, exploded among minorities during the economic boom of the 1990's. The number of mortgages extended to Hispanic applicants jumped by 87.2 per cent from 1993 to 1998, according to Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies. During that same period the number of African Americans who got mortgages to buy a home increased by 71.9 per cent and the number of Asian Americans by 46.3 per cent.
In contrast, the number of non-Hispanic whites who received loans for homes increased by 31.2 per cent.
Despite these gains, home ownership rates for minorities continue to lag behind non-Hispanic whites, in part because blacks and Hispanics in particular tend to have on average worse credit ratings.
In July, the Department of Housing and Urban Development proposed that by the year 2001, 50 percent of Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's portfolio be made up of loans to low and moderate-income borrowers. Last year, 44 percent of the loans Fannie Mae purchased were from these groups.
The change in policy also comes at the same time that HUD is investigating allegations of racial discrimination in the automated underwriting systems used by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to determine the credit-worthiness of credit applicants.

Sick of the same old people running this country.... hoping for someone different...
broken arms, bad teeth, webkinz and politics
OK Blondie's arm... the first day she had her permanent cast on... we had surgery at 7 am, and had to be in a city 3 hours away by 1:30 for ortho appts... so rushed out of recovery... into the car... and off we go. Made the ortho appts for all six children BARELY. Went to Grandparents, visited until 9 pm. Did some of their chores, like cleaning up their fallen trees from the big wind storm. They boys had a blast driving the John Deere, pulling trees to the wood pile, and for the older two, using the chain saw. Grandpa is getting too old to do some of this stuff and all four boys had a great time being his arms and legs as he supervised their work. Meanwhile I tried to do some cleaning for Grandma.
As a result, we left a few hours later later than intended for home. The kids fell asleep and mom drove in peace most of the way.... then I jump from my headlight induced driving trance when I heard "I'm so stupid" from Blondie. I asked her what she was talking about. Heck I thought she was asleep. She replied, "My arm was itching so I put an ink pen down the cast to scratch my arm and the lid came off and now it is stuck in my cast".
WHAT.... the first day.... My mind immediately goes into money drive.... How much is a new cast going to cost. Insurance won't pay for two. Plus we paid extra for a waterproof cast... We can now double that expense.
I call my better half to cry... and he laughs. Says it can stay there for six weeks. ha Ha Ha. Then he ads that when the swelling goes down, we can probably flush it out with water. hmmm... I keep this man for many reasons. (It actually took us a week to get it out, but she survived and we safely got the cap out. Probably could have gotten it out earlier but we didn't want to risk breaking her skin)
OK I stop crying. Still exhausted and tell him Boo wouldn't let them touch her teeth this time and a filling came out, two others needed fixed/replaced. They said we needed to get a pediatric dentist who could knock her out for treatment.
The next day, he calls around and gets one close to home. Yesterday, I take her for her third appt (they did xrays at first one, minor filling at second). This trip...OMGoodness. She is our only child with weak teeth. The others did not have cavities in their baby teeth. Hers came in with enamel chipping off and cavities forming. Since 18 months, they have been patching little cavities, trying to keep those precious baby teeth until the permanent ones started poking thru.
We arrive at the dentist and he is a kind person.... and a pediatric dentist... but doesn't believe in knocking kids out. I tell him Boo is complaining about a belly ache and has a low grade fever. He checks and agrees she is probably coming down with something (it is going thru all our kids right now). But he wants to proceed anyway. He doesn't want her to think appointments are easily broken. Boo does great. Tears stream down her face but she isn't moving, isn't making noise, isn't crying out loud. Just scared with scared tears streaming.
Then he drills and this bloody puss comes out of her tooth. She screams. Her arms and legs are flailing everywhere. I have to hold her down while they finish the tooth. She is moving so hard, he actually damages a filling in a neighboring tooth. It has to be repaired now too. The xrays didn't show anything that resembled an infection. She had not complained about pain. She got the equivalent of a root canal in an adult. Bless her heart, it was horrible. She now has a silver tooth.
She glared at me when we left. She could not believe I held her down for something so painful. The dentist swore she couldn't feel it.... but I have had a root canal.... and even with the shots... I felt it and it hurt like the dickins.
OK right or wrong, I bribed her. Yes another Webkinz joined our ever growing family. We now have the white Seal, thank you very much.... and since the other kids are working so hard on their home schooling and are caught up finally (YEAH KIDS), I bought them all a webkinz.... so we have 3 bats and 2 spooky cats... and 1 chipmunk who looks a lot like Alvin. (and I spent my coffee money... My freezer is completely out of my special coffee. My one luxury just for me. The things we parents give up for our kids. It will be yucky coffee for a while)
She came home, with a sore tooth, a belly ache, a light fever, a new webkinz, and a bag full of webkinz for all her sibs.
The best part though.... the store owner said they are expecting a shipment of DUDUDA, DUDUDUDAHHHHH.... the Whimsy Dragon!!!
Boo has wanted this dragon since its release and they are sooooo hard to find. We have looked and looked and looked.... finally, finally, we may get one this month!!!!
And that is how pitiful our lives are right now. We are honestly excited about a Webkinz Dragon....
I am sick from this political buyout... and back to not wanting to vote. I still love Palin... but McCain, Obama and Biden.... they all voted for that pork filled mess, now called a "rescue", because the term "buyout" or "bailout" was too offensive to us poor ignorant tax payers. Just a side note, I could care less what you call it, I was offended by the PORK and the Golden Umbrella's for existing as well as future executives. I am serious. When we do not have money to spend... when we are borrowing from everyone and everybody... I don't buy wooden arrows for my kids.... I pay off debt... I buy essentials. The kids shoes have to last a bit longer. My clothes last longer, stains, holes and all. All our hair gets longer. My hair dye comes from a box, not a salon for a while.
I don't borrow so I can buy more... I borrow so we can survive.
And praise God it has been many, many years since we have had to borrow. By the Grace of God alone, I pray for many more.
If we do have to borrow again, I certainly hope it is not for toys, vacations, restaurants.... perks.... or pork in the case of Congress.
I am so sick of the people we have running this country right now and their same ole, same ole... I truly do not want to vote for any of them. Palin is the only one running who does not have a history that makes me ill. I thought McCain might be different... but he knew America persuaded our house reps to vote down the 700,000 billion "rescue/bailout/buyout", due primarily to all the pork and current execs still getting their golden umbrellas for running their companies into this mess.
So what does Obama, McCain and Biden do..... do they listen to us.... NO.... NO.... NO... They smack us in the face with an 800,000 billion dollar bailout with even more pork than the previous one rejected in the house. They ad 100,000 million to the plan that we said was too high.
Oh but we are suppose to be happy about the 250,000 bank deposit guarantee..... WHAT. I thought this bailout was suppose to "shore up" those banks.... why do we need a bigger guarantee? It's like saying, "This levee will withstand the hurricane, guaranteed... Oh but here is a life jacket, just in case and just cause I like you, I am going to throw in a boat too".
No Washington.... we didn't want a bigger guarantee for when things fail.... we wanted a pork less... umbrella less... cheaper version of the first plan.
Why do we continue to elect people who have no common sense and no idea how to cut back. No concept of making due with what you earn.
Listen to us please.... and represent us.....
Quit trying to find things you think will please us.... and listen to what we are telling you will please us....
Why is this so hard for Washington to grasp.
OK not sure if it is all the kid issues, learning to home school... or what.... but I am just about sick of all this political junk.
I hope tonight, Palin re-energizes me and gives me some hope again.
I would love to see her give back as good as she is given. I don't want perfection. I don't really care if she has the best answers. I just want the common sense, the gut instincts... the things I liked about her before the world became obsessed with her (and before McCain's handlers tried to change her into what they thought we wanted).
Ready to take a long break and watch some mindless cartoons with the kids.....
Been there.... done that.
